About Male Infertility
About 15 percent of couples are infertile, meaning they are unable to conceive a child. Male infertility is the cause for about half of infertile couples.
Male infertility is caused when you are unable to either produce or deliver fully-functioning sperms. This may be caused by defects in your reproductive system, hormone deficiencies, illness, trauma or certain lifestyle choices.
Most of the time, male infertility can be successfully treated with medications, surgery or assisted reproductive techniques such as intrauterine insemination, in vitro fertilization or sperm injection.
